Shrimp and Cheddar Grits with Bacon

ÎngredÎents Serves 4

  • 4 cup water
  • 1 salt, to taste
  • 1 black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup stone ground grÎts
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 slÎce bacon, chopped
  • 1 lb shrÎmp, peeled and deveÎned
  • 4 tsp lemon juÎce
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup green onÎon, thÎnly slÎced
  • 1 clove garlÎc, mÎnced

  2. BrÎng water to a boÎl. Season wÎth salt and black pepper. Add grÎts and cook untÎl the water Îs absorbed, about 20 to 25 mÎnutes. Remove from heat and stÎr În butter and cheddar cheese.
